The 2022 vintage was defined by an intensely hot summer, with unprecedented drought conditions stretching through June, July, and August. Despite these challenging extremes, our vineyard’s clay soils played a crucial role, retaining moisture to keep the vines hydrated and ensuring a bountiful crop of exceptional quality fruit. The resulting wine is a true reflection of the vintage, boasting smooth tannins, balanced acidity, and a surprising freshness that defies the heat of the growing season.

Aged for 18 months in a combination of large barrels and amphora, this vintage also marks an exciting new chapter in our approach to winemaking. The wine shines with elegance, vibrancy, and depth, offering a harmonious expression of a truly remarkable year.

All wines are sold in 6-bottle cases. Please note that a quantity of 1 in your basket corresponds to one case of 6 bottles.
Selected wines may also be available in large formats, including magnums (1.5L). For pricing and availability, please contact us at wine@closdelabarbanne.com.
